"EcoLead" Installs Digital Wind Indicator and Odor Concentration Measurement Device

To monitor conditions and base opinions on facts, as well as ensure that local residents can assess the impact of SIA "EcoLead" recycling plant operations on air quality, a digital wind indicator has been installed on the roof of the plant within the company’s premises. This device provides real-time data, which is publicly accessible on the company’s website. Additionally, an odor concentration measurement device has been set up on the premises.

“In Kalnciems, the prevailing wind directions are predominantly south (S), southwest (SW), north (N), and northeast (NE), while the residential area of Kalnciems is located in the northwest (NW) wind direction. The digital measuring devices allow for the identification of any deviations from the norm. Since the installation of the measuring device, no changes in air quality have been identified in the vicinity of the plant,” emphasizes Kaspars Fogelmanis, CEO of SIA "EcoLead."

The recycling process at the plant is designed to minimize the likelihood of harmful substances escaping into the environment, air, or water, thereby preventing pollution. Air emitted from the facility is filtered through an ion exchange filter, with only steam being released from the chimneys.

The plant ensures a sustainable recycling and production process that complies with the regulatory requirements of the Republic of Latvia, as well as the standards and environmental requirements set by the European Union.
