Full recycling of end-of-life batteries for a better future...

The only recycling plant in Latvia for end-of-life lead-acid batteries, providing a full recycling cycle, from acceptance and sorting to recycling and sale of the finished product — lead ingots.

About EcoLead

Since 2015, EcoLead has been purposefully building the infrastructure for the full-cycle recycling of end-of-life lead-acid batteries. The owners' long-standing experience in the non-ferrous and ferrous metals trade, as well as their vision for a competitive recycling industry and its development in Latvia, culminated in 2023, when the recycling plant started operations.

2015
2024

EcoLead currently produces lead ingots by recycling all of Latvia's end-of-life lead-acid batteries. A sustainable recycling and production process has been developed that complies with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia and the standards and environmental requirements of the European Union.

EcoLead is a key player in the circular economy and European Green Deal, implementing the forward-looking idea of recycling waste as close to its source as possible.

More than 10 million euro have been invested in the company's development and technological equipment. Most of the equipment is sophisticated and modern production and monitoring facilities that allow monitoring every step of the production process and environmental impact.

The complex recycling process results in a new product — lead ingots that are exported to European countries to produce new batteries.
